Velin terms of use

Velin is free. Use it on any Mac you own, for anything you like: your notes, your work, your business. No account, no fee.

It isn’t open source. Please don’t sell it, rent it out, pass around altered copies, or take it apart to get at its code, unless the law where you live says you may. Sharing the link to download it is welcome.

Your files stay yours. Velin works on folders on your Mac. We never see what’s in them, and we claim nothing in them.

Velin goes online only for this:

There are no analytics and no tracking.

This is an alpha. It’s young: things change, some break, and a new version may ask you to set something up again. Keep a backup of anything you’d hate to lose. Velin writes every file with care, but care isn’t a guarantee.

So, plainly: Velin comes as it is, with no warranty. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost data or any other harm from using it.

Some of Velin is other people’s good work, used under their licences. Help, then Third-Party Notices, lists them.

These terms may change with a new version. The terms in the version you run are the ones that apply.
